Whether you're installing the Round 1, Katla, Alto, or Polar, our canopies are designed to make installation quick and easy. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to safely and securely install your Lighting Canopy.
Materials Needed:
- Screwdriver
- Drill
- Included dowels and screws
- Lamp and ceiling canopy of your choice
- Certified electrician to handle the electrical connection
Step 1: Preparations
Before beginning the installation, always ensure the power is turned off to avoid any risks. It's important that the connection of the lamp canopy is carried out by a certified electrician to prevent any damage or errors. Once safety is confirmed, you can proceed with the installation.
Step 2: Installing the Ceiling Plate
First, position the ceiling plate where you want it to go and mark the drilling holes. Next, carefully drill the holes at the marked spots. Insert the provided dowels into the drilled holes. Once the dowels are in place, position the ceiling plate again and securely fix it to the ceiling using the included screws. This step ensures that the ceiling canopy is stable and securely attached.
Step 3: Threading the Lamp Cable and Adjusting the Height
Now, thread the lamp cable through the light fixture canopy. Hold the cable steady and thread it through the two strain relief rings. This allows you to adjust the lamp to your desired height. Once the cable is secured in the strain relief, connect it to the ceiling’s power cable (this step should be performed by the certified electrician). After the cables are connected, slide the lamp canopy up to the ceiling plate. Twist it clockwise to lock it in place using the bayonet mount. Make sure no cables are visible or hanging out.
Step 4: Final Check and Completion
Finally, check that the lighting canopy is securely mounted and that no cables are visible. Once everything is in place, you can turn the power back on and enjoy your new ceiling light!
